Erik Karlsson is a defense men on the Ottawa Senators NHL team. He was the top defense men in the league of the 2011-2012 season finishing with a total of 81 points. Karlsson is originally from Sweden, and is 22 years old. He has been on the Senators for 3 years, and won the Norris Trophy of the 2011-2012 season beating Zdeno Chara (Boston Bruins) and Shea Weber (Nashville Predators). Erik got married on July 7th, 2012 in Sweden to who is now Therese Karlsson. Daniel Alfredsson, Jason Spezza, Milan Michalek and Erik Karlsson played in the 59th NHL All-Star Game which took place in Ottawa, Ontario. Erik Karlsson led the votes with a total of 939, 951. He also got nominated to be on the cover of NHL 13, but lost.
